Ollie - The ollie is pretty simple to do. 1. Position yourself with your front foot in the middle of the board, and your
back foot on the tip of the tail. 2. slam down on the tail with your back foot and lift your front foot so that the board
snaps up in the air almost vertically while your hovering above the board in the air. now while you and your board are in
the air, slide your front foot up to the tip of the board and lift up your back foot to level out. now, just land on the bolts
and you've got it.
180 Power Slide- This move is an example of "surf skating" that the Z-Boys did back in the 70's. this is simple, you
just ride straight, getting some descent speed by crouching your knees. Now when your going fast enough, put your hand on
the ground and just skid on the ground and do a 180 slide. if this isn't descriptive enough, go watch Lords Of Dogtown.
Pop Shove-It - This is the easiest flip trick there is. What I do, is i just stand with my back foot on the tail and
my front foot right behind the front bolts. then i just let it pop and just kinda tap the tail back just to control the flip
and land on it, pretty simple. just kinda mess around with it and you'll get it.
Kickflip- This is the trick everybody always wants to learn and struggles with. First position your feet like an ollie,
except move your front foot down a little bit. now do an ollie, except instead of sliding your foot straight up, slide it
up and off the corner of your tail so it starts flipping, and lift your legs up high to let it flip. once it does one whole
flip, extend your legs and land on the bolts.
Freestyle combo's- These are probably the funnest tricks to mess around with, problem is, nobody does em anymore. That's
how you can win a lot of games of skate. That's how i do it, just do some rail stands, link em with some fake-out flips(a
trick a created to link freestyle tricks) and end with a switch foot pogo and you'll leave people stoked. I'll teach you some
of these.
Rail Stand- these are pretty easy. you just have to position yourself so that you're front foot is on the front bolts,
with the tip of your toes on the bottom edge. and your back foot on the back bolts with the arch of your foot on the top edge,
ready to roll onto the side of the board. now push down on the board with your front foot, doing a very small pressure flip
type of thing. while you push down with your front foot. roll the board on it's side underneath your back foot so that it's
sitting over the wheel on the axel. now get your front foot on the front axel and balance.........and you got a rail stand.
now you can add some walks by putting your weight on one axel and turning and keep doing that in a walking motion. and you
can do a rail flip, by moving your back foot from the axel, to the part of the tail where it curves. then, push down on it
and jump, like a pressure flip. and either land back on the board, or back on a rail stand.
Switch foot pogo- one of the funnest freestyle tricks to do. they're really hard to hold though. what you do is, you
put your feet wherever you feel comfterble, and you push down on the nose DON'T POP IT UP!!!! just stay on the nose, then
from there, keeping your front foot on the nose, put your back foot on the trucks that are closest to the nose, and scoop
the board and quickly grab it with both hands. now have the board facing up at a 45 degree angle. and have your back foot
on the bottom trucks and your hands either on just the nose holding it up, or 1 on the trucks and one on the nose, then half
fingerflip and land on the bolts, and you got it!
